Tianhuo (天禍) is a disease which kills any infected Solarians. It is a very deadly virus accidentally created by Eigong when she tried to find the key to immortality.
Characteristics[]
Tianhuo rapidly destroys all cells within its victims' bodies, and is even genetically passed down through birth. When a Solarian dies infected with Tianhuo, their corpses bloom fungal flowers that breed the Greater Tao Fruits.

Origin[]
Tianhuo emerged at the end of the Origin Era. Around that time, Eigong, leader of the Council, conducted her long-cherished experiments on the subject of granting mmortality and eternal life to the Solarians, with the patronage of the Feng Clan as her main endorsement. But when she conducted experiments to combine the regenerative gene of the Fusang Tree's Primordial Roots with the experimented Solarians' cells, it resulted in the spread of the Tianhuo virus.
Tianhuo is a genetic disease that affects genes derived from the Fusang tree, which evolved to allow all Solarians to have intelligence. While the Solsrian would be safe from the virus without this gene, it would result in the lose of their intelligence, they would be reverted back to being but ordinary short-lived cats. Eigong, in an attempt to correct her mistake, pursued a cure for the Tianhuo virus, but to no avail.
Mutation[]
Before New Kunlun's departure from Penglai, Ji revealed his unique constitution to Eijong, that along with having immunity to all diseases he was secretly living without being able to age for millennium. To Eigong, who failed to reproduce Yi's case to which her theory was perfectly applied, Ji's presence was like a godsend opportunity, and perhaps the key to a breakthrough. So amidst the Eternal Cauldron Project, Eigong developed a serum for curing Tianhuo derived from Ji's genetic material. All of these experiments were done without Yi's knowledge.
Finally, after ousting Yi from the Council, Eigong tried inoculating both Fuxi and the Dusk Guardians with that serum. But following prolonged testing, the serum proved to be disastrously ineffective as a cure, instead causing dangerous mutations in a few of the test subjectsf and transforming the Solarians into Mutants. Ultimately proving, the disease incurable.
However, this mutated virus was able to absorb and mutate the gene of the Primordial Roots, barring Mutants from naturally dying. In addition, a sort of group consciousness and co-operation developed among these Mutants. Observing this outcome, in her growing madness Eigong came to the conclusion that the Tianhuo virus was not a disaster, but instead a test from the cosmos and a gift for the Solarians. Therefore, she is trying to implement an extreme plan that for the Solarians to live forever, by infecting the Fusang Tree and mutate all the Solarians who will be born in the future.
